Whats the best software to start making/playing with your own visuals, there are so many out there, im just experimenting but dont have a clue tbh.

theres loads of "playback" software out there. But to answer your question, the best software to learn that will allow you to get started and create visuals has to be Flash. Plus there are flash vj software to get you started.

when you get good at it, you can churn out video clips very rapidly

resolume is only "play back" software. it doesnt "create" anything. You can apply effects but to be honest, it slows down a meaty machine so I avoid them.

Thanks very much, at the moment im getting my visuals from vjvault.com until i have time to figure out how to make my own. Resolume seems ok tbh, but do you have any suggestions about programs to use?
