Whats the best software to start making/playing with your own visuals, there are so many out there, im just experimenting but dont have a clue tbh.

theres loads of "playback" software out there. But to answer your question, the best software to learn that will allow you to get started and create visuals has to be Flash. Plus there are flash vj software to get you started.

resolume is only "play back" software. it doesnt "create" anything. You can apply effects but to be honest, it slows down a meaty machine so I avoid them.

Creating the visuals is the main thing. I guess its like djing, it doesnt matter what you play the tunes on, but if you dont have any tunes, then your in the shit. Its all about the content

Thanks very much, at the moment im getting my visuals from vjvault.com until i have time to figure out how to make my own. Resolume seems ok tbh, but do you have any suggestions about programs to use?
